On May 13, 2005, Dr. Young Gil Kim (the President of Handong Global University), Dr. Larry Jones (the Asia Area Director of SIL International), and Dr. Je Soon Chung (the ARILAC Executive Director) held an official signing ceremony of partnership to open the Asia Research Institute of Language and Culture. The distinctive features of ARILAC are: 1. We train developing world leaders within an Asian context for involvement in researching the languages and cultures of numerous people groups around the world. 2. We assist in upgrading the academic competence of developing world leaders for proficiency as mentors, trainers, translators, and professors. We maintain one of the well-known language-related training institutes in Asia.
