1. School Life

Basic information on life at ARILAC
We start classes at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m.
From 2 to 5 p.m. we have tutorial times everyday.
This is not included into regular courses, but this is mandatory for all students.

You can use ARILAC¡¯s library anytime and it is near the classrooms. If needed, you can also use HGU¡¯s library.

We usually have a lunch break during 12:30-2:00 pm. At this time students can have a meal at the student¡¯s cafeterias or some students enjoy a brown bagged lunch. You can enjoy free activity like playing soccer or walking around the campus after lunch.

a. Service
- Sunday Service : English service (9am) and Korean service (11am) at the Hyoam Chapel (building no.2)
But, during vacation the English service is at the Hyoam Cafeteria (building no.3)

b. Cafeteria

c. Other
- Professors¡¯ Office is MatchumHyung Edu. Center Room 304 (T. 1704).
- Internet connection is possible, wireless during classes and with lines (fixed IP) in the dormitories and offices.
- ARILAC Chapel is held every Tuesday, and ARILAC may request a sermon.
- The HGU campus is near the sea coast with some leisurely beaches. Students can get to these places for relaxation.

  • South Korea has four distinct seasons; the weather is occasionally unpredictable due to abnormal climate.
    - Spring : Mid March ~ Early June
    Average temperature is 10~20 degrees (Celsius) but long sleeves must always be at the ready incase of abnormal weather

  • Voltage; 220V so adaptor is needed.
  • In South Korea it is customary to take the shoes off when indoors; Everyone takes their shoes off indoors. You can change into slippers. This is why it is taken for granted to sit on the floor.
